AN EPIPHANY

Alone on the streets a girl sat,
Not at all a sight to look at.
Her hair was a mess and her face full of dirt,
And she seemed as if she was badly hurt.
There were some visible scars on her arms and knee,
But the ones bothering her we could not see.
They were deep inside her somewhere,
But in her case no one seemed to care.
She had been hurt again and again,
But there was no one beside her to share the pain.
This mean world had used her when in need,
But always left her alone to bleed.
She was sick of this life and tired of liars,
She wished for a change now to fulfil her desires.
She wanted to be loved, respected and cared,
But the people of this world she now feared.
Suddenly she had a unique epiphany,
Realizing someone loved her in this world of many.
She could trust herself the most for sure,
Ofcourse she knew she could ask for nothing more.
Everything seemed happy and positive,
and finally she found a reason for her to live.
She got up at last forgetting all about her scars,
And walked along the path beneath the twinkling stars.
